Vince Robb serves as the Assistant County Assessor for the Contra Costa County Assessor’s Office, where he plays a pivotal leadership role in daily operations and oversees the annual close of the assessment roll—a critical valuation process that determines property taxes.

With 20 years of experience in the Assessor’s Office, Vince has led virtually every aspect of its operations, including residential, commercial, and industrial appraisal, and complex ownership change determinations. He also leads the valuation teams in assessment appeal cases before the County’s Assessment Appeals Board.

His extensive knowledge and leadership were instrumental in guiding the office to an outstanding State Board of Equalization audit survey result in December 2024, where the office earned a 99.78% accuracy rating, marking it as one of the best Assessor’s Offices in the State.

A lifelong resident of Contra Costa County, Vince holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics from Saint Mary’s College of California.

He is deeply engaged in his community and serves as the Chair of the Pacheco Municipal Advisory Council. Vince is also a volunteer youth baseball and soccer coach and has had one of the most unusual side gigs of working Red Carpet Security at major awards shows, including the Grammys and Golden Globes.

As Assistant County Assessor, the second in command, I have the unique skills and special technical knowledge needed to fairly and accurately assess the value of every residential, commercial, and business property in the county. I have the legally required State of California Appraiser Certification needed to serve on day one.

During 20 years with the Assessor’s Office, I have worked in or overseen the operation of every division. In that time, we have a near-perfect evaluation for accuracy from the State of California.

I will prioritize excellent service, working for the residents to provide a clear account of assessments relied upon for vital services, while protecting Prop 13. I will hold myself and the office to high standards for transparency, professionalism, and accessibility to residents. I will provide information and assistance regarding tax breaks, including a free review of the assessed value of your property.

My membership in the California Assessors Association and the Government Finance Officers Association gives me the insight and experience to continue to modernize daily operations, keep records secure, and steward your tax dollars responsibly and fairly.
